This was my first rained out wedding. It stormed all morning, cleared up and the sun came out just in time for Christine and Todd to have their ‘First Look.’ And then it started storming again. Thunder rolled in and skies opened up. The rain started right before the ceremony and tricked us into thinking it would stop just in time. One bridesmaid started down the aisle and the rain started again. An open, outdoor ceremony just wasn’t meant to be for Christine and Todd. Usually, this would not end up well. I will admit, at the threat of rain on my own wedding day, I had a big fat Bridezilla moment. It was intense. Christine, however, was the epitome of cool and collected. When her ceremony was moved to the porch of the Krippendorf Lodge – after it had already started, no less – she walked down a very short aisle with a huge smile on her face. She’s my kind of bride.
I loved hanging out with Christine and her sisters before the ceremony! They were so fun! And they let me have champagne. For future reference – if you let me drink with you, these photos prove I can still shoot in focus.
Although everyone had to gather under the porch because of the rain, it resulted in a beautiful and intimate ceremony…
Christine and Todd – I hope you guys are having the time of your lives in Jamaica! Congratulations! It was wonderful to work with you and your families! We wish you nothing but happiness together!
